WOMEN MAKE MOVIES

Established in 1972 first as a centre for training women to make films, Women Make Movies soon concentrated on distribution, becoming the world’s leading specialist in independent films directed and produced by women. The non-profit company also offers training and assistance programs to women filmmakers and actively promotes the 700 films in its catalogue. The organization is committed to highlighting the stories and voices of women of diverse cultures, LGBTQI women, older women, women with disabilities, and women of color.
